Scott joined State-Wide Consulting & Investigating, LLC. in 2020 after retiring from the Michigan State Police with 31 years of service, with the last 19 years being a full-time fire investigator. During his time with the Michigan State Police, he investigated over 1500 fires and testified in State and Federal court as an expert in fire investigation over 45 times. Additionally, Scott is an expert in Clandestine Methamphetamine Labs, which he also testified as an expert in State and Federal courts. Before joining the Michigan State Police, Scott attended Lake Superior State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate’s degree in Fire Science. Scott is a “Certified Fire Investigator” with the International Association of Fire Investigators (IAAI) and a “Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator” with the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
